STAFF POSITIONS
Interpretive Crew (Spring positions are filled, sorry!) - Seasonal position, 20-40 hours/week, late April -October. DCL offers an inclusive, friendly work environment for anyone ready to work on Cayuga Lake. Crew will be trained to perform duties as ship’s mate, host and narrator for our public cruises and as instructor for our educational programming. General background in boating, environmental science and/or education is a plus. Click here for details.

Internships (AGE 18+)
Summer Season 2023:
DCL will host up to four summer interns, in connection with the CAYUGA LAKE WATERSHED INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. WIP is a collaboration of partner organizations working hosting interns and working in our watershed. DCL interns work an average of 20 hours per week and are paid at the Living Wage of Tompkins County. We offer opportunities for a variety of interests and career paths.

Additional Internships for young adults are available throughout the year, and offer great experience working in a team environment with a wide range of clients. Focus areas include tourism, marketing, environmental education and sciences, social justice, and boating skills. youth crew (age 14-17) - 2023 application period begins MARCH 1, 2023.
Summer Youth Crew (July-August) 15-20 hours/week. Youth Crew learn valuable job skills as junior crew on the MV Teal, assist with lake study and educational programs, and may pursue personal projects related to their areas of interest. We anticipate hiring approximately 5 first-year Junior Crew interns and at least one returning youth crew member in 2023.
