Our cruises typically run 1.5 hours. Most are family-friendly or even kid-oriented,
though we save a few of our cruises for our adult friends.

Public Sunset Cruises
Feature light narration, informal chats with our crew and beautiful sunsets. Relax and enjoy the ride!

Community Access Sunset Cruises

Community Cruises - Enjoy casual talks with guest speakers relating to Cayuga Lake, from science and art, to history, health and culture.
Wednesday evenings at sunset, June - September
Free - with requested donation of $30 per person (donations fund our educational programs!)
Club Cayuga Sunset Cruises feature lively music on board with some of our favorite local DJs. Special two hour cruises!

farmer’s market cruises
Enjoy a ONE Hour cruise from the dock at Ithaca’s iconic Farmer’s Market!
Reservations are NOT necessary. Pay on board with cash or credit card. Arrive at the Market Dock at least 15 minutes before cruise time.
Saturdays - 11 am and 12:30 pm (and 2pm with demand)
Sundays - 11 am and 12:30 pm

Lake & Land Tour to Taughannock Falls State Park
Thursdays, July 6th - August 10th, 10am - 2pm

Join us for a one-of-a-kind Finger Lakes opportunity for a combined 4-hour lake & land experience from our home dock at the Allan H. Treman State Marina to the famous Taughannock Falls State Park and back. Our knowledgeable narrators will be on board to discuss the human and natural history of the lake and provide some hands-on activities, great for kids and adults alike. While at the Park, choose from the following options:
a 2 mile guided hike to Taughannock Falls with Park guides
rent a paddleboard, or single or tandem kayak
simply kick back and enjoy the park itself (there is a playground and swim area)
order lunch while on the boat in the morning and enjoy it on the cruise back. (You may also bring your own lunch.)

Eco-Cruises
Our eco-cruises are both educational and recreational. They focus on specific themes that vary by the time of day and year as we track the changes that are happening on and around the lake. They are geared towards both adults and children and feature interactive activities to engage our curiosity and knowledge about our aquatic environments.
OSPREY Eco-Cruise
Come learn about the ecology and natural history of Cayuga Lake through the eyes of our resident Osprey. Bring your binoculars if you have them and your keen powers of observation!
Offered weekly May - August, 4:30-6pm

fall foliage Eco-Cruise
Narrators will talk about the history and ecology of the lake as well as the changing colors of the season and the fall harvests which are so bountiful in the Finger Lakes.

night sky Eco-Cruise
Come enjoy the wide, open skies for yourself and see if you can recognize some zodiac signs! Our narrators will be on board to point out celestial landmarks and talk about old time navigation.

science and EXPLORATION CRUISES for the young and old
Weekly cruises from the ITHACA FARMERS MARKET DOCK. Fares are free or ‘pay what you can’ with donations encouraged to help ensure access to our lake for all of our community members.
Family Eco-cruise
These 1.5 hour cruises introduce kids, and parents too, to the world that lies beneath the surface of Cayuga Lake. Enjoy time on the water, fun lake lore, and hands on lake science activities designed for children age five and up.

Lake explorers Monitoring Cruise
If you really want to know more about the state of the lake, these cruises are for you. Each week, we’ll assess lake conditions and conduct sampling to tell the story. This is an opportunity to join citizen scientists (or become one!) and meet professionals from our partner organizations. Best suited for ages 13 and up.
Sundays at 2pm leaving from the Ithaca Farmer’s Market.

CRUISE COSTS
Cruise prices vary by length and theme.
CHILDREN: Children 2 and under ride for free. Ages 3- 16 cost $10 or are free for certain cruises.
STUDENTS (age 16 through college) and SENIORS (age 65+): $5 discount
GROUP PRICING: For groups of approximately 10-20 people, we recommend you call us to discuss the best option for your group.
